Postponed to 2026: NSF Tour of the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS)

The NSF invites members and their guests to participate in a two-day program in Las Vegas, October 29-30, 2025, featuring expert panels with DRI and MSTS scientists, a visit to the Atomic Museum, and an exclusive guided tour of the NNSS, looking at future technologies for nuclear weapons.

January 15, 2025 – Breakfast Forum: Tribute to our Founder and Friend, Dr. Ty Cobb

As many of you know, our dear friend and NSF Founder, Dr. Ty Cobb, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024. Dr. Cobb was a long-time Reno resident and a fourth-generation Nevadan who had a profound impact on national security initiatives, locally, nationally, and globally.

POSTPONED – SPECIAL EVENT: Depolarizing National Security

As a follow-up to our NSF Forum last March, “Civil Discourse is Essential for National Security,” we are again partnering with Braver Angels to host a vibrant, interactive, and very timely workshop that will teach skills for recognizing and depolarizing our mindsets and provide opportunities to discuss timely national security topics with people who may, or even more important, may not share our perspective.
