Register NOW 13 October Program: Welcome back to our Ukraine War Series. This is the seventh program in our Special Topic discussion series. In light of all that has happened in Ukraine over the last couple of weeks, we thought it was vitally important to return to this topic.
To kick-off our fall virtual program series we thought it was timely and important to take a retrospective look at the War in Afghanistan, 21 years after it started and one year after we withdrew our forces, precipitously.
Great news and welcome back to our NSF northern Nevada residents! Our next quarterly in-person event will be the Nevada Energy Security Forum on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at the Montreux Golf & Country Club in Reno, Nevada. Panelists at the Nevada Energy Security Forum will discuss challenges and opportunities for Nevada and the region as we transition to alternative energy resources and away from fossil fuels.
NSF will host our Fifth War in Ukraine Special Topics Panel Discussion on money laundering and avoiding sanctions on Russia on Thursday, May 19th 0900 – 1015 PDT. Our speaker will be Prof. Moyara Ruehsen from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS). Fortunately for NSF, Morrie teaches at MIIS and serves on an international illicit finance task force from her home in South Reno.
The 2022 Youth Security Forum (YSF) will provide students in Washoe County high schools with an opportunity to discuss the war in Ukraine with national and global security experts from the Schar School of Policy and Government at the George Mason University and the National Security Forum of Nevada.
